1992 Porsche 964 Turbo

The 964 Turbo is one of the most beautiful 911s ever. It features all the classic 911 styling cues from raised round headlights to dramatically flared wheel arches and fixed tea-tray rear spoiler, with more integrated bumpers and handsome aluminum wheels with a five-spoke 964 Carrera Cup car design.

It was launched in 1989 two years after Porsche introduced the 964 series with a fully renewed chassis. Its air-cooled, turbocharged, flat-six 3.3-liter engine with intercooler was taken from the 930 Turbo, but refined to run smoother with less turbo lag and produce a more powerful 320 PS (235 kW; 316 hp) at 5750 rpm that propels the vehicle from 0 to 60 mph in an impressive 4.4 seconds and delivers a top speed of 270 kph (168 mph).

Handling is also outstanding thanks to coil springs at the corners, ABS, power steering (on RHD cars only) and large Brembo brakes. From the beginning, the 964 Turbo performed well in racing, winning the IMSA Bridgestone Supercar Championship in 1991.
